10 K Goal Reached + Postmortem (?)!
Good news, we've reached our 10 K gross profit/ R18 DLC goal~

So yeah, don't worry the R18 DLC is in development and I'm also doing another project as I wait if we reach the 20K gross profit goal or not. I love Bewitching Sinners and will definitely make the DLC either way, but I also need to financially support myself and I have some ideas I wanna do for my next project, in case Bewitching Sinners fail in the long run. But definitely feel like a success for now ^ ^
Now for the less... enticing part of the post. The rambly postmortem!
A little context of why I made Bewitching Sinners has been posted on my Patreon as a public pinned post, so I won't get too much into that. But tldr, shit happened, and I was struggling to find a job while my dad was in the hospital so I published the demo of this game in hopes of supporting my mom if my dad died. He didn't die by the way and is thriving, thank God!
But the game was already uploaded, and that month I was able to afford my bills thanks to Patreon so... I was determined to finish it . And what an interesting journey it was!
I did land a decent paying stable freelance job after the demo release as well, so that certainly helped lower the financial stress. Didn't help for the time crunch stress though haha! I actually first made BS on October 2022, for the characters and basically getting the demo ready until December 2022. Tbh, I wasn't sure I wanted to post it, but yeah like I said, shit happened and I needed money lol. Was it a long shot for me to make money off a demo? Yes! But again, I was desperate! And thank God, as it became one of the better decisions of my life.
I admit, I had to speed up production plans because there are a lot of big upcoming indie VN titles coming next year (Touchstarved, Our Life, etc). VN titles that I have no chance to compete with, so why try? Haha! It worked out though I think, April and May 2024 is a nice time to release. At the least, it's less fierce competition.
There were a lot of blunders and confusion for me as it's been 2 years since I posted a game on here or steam but I eventually get it done (Though I did overslept and almost missed my own steam release date schedule, why I didn't decide to post it on May 3rd 11 pm on my end, is beyond me. Blame it on the lack of sleep for 8 months.)
Tbh I had no idea how this VN will be received. I don't really have much confidence in myself since the tragedy of 2022 (again, somewhat explained in my patreon post.)
So to see the love for it now by fans is great and kinda a surprise for me! I'm glad that I didn't give up making VNs back in 2020, and I'm glad I didn't give up on myself after 2022. Here's to the future and I hope I can continue making weird VNs for you all ^ ^

Congratulations on reaching the goal of 10k, I hope you are healthy and happy! (20k goal will be achieved!) What I want to ask you is whether there are two dlcs, and if so, will they be released together or will they be released separately (I hope to experience them together)?
Knowing the scale, they are probably gonna be released seperately as the r18 just adds 2-3 cgs per route for the spicy stuff
While the witch dlc will be rather complex due to adding new storylines and main story ends thus will be longer in production

I'm so sorry to hear how this game came out of such a hard situation (I hadn't seen that before,) but I've been following development for a while now and am so excited to play! So glad to hear that your dad is doing better. I've only played the demo so far, but it was so high quality that I can definitely imagine this competing with One Life and Touchstarved!~ And hey, who doesn't want MORE high quality vns? :3 (Plus, this is definitely a bit spicier than one life, and the exploration/crafting elements make it unique!~) So... don't be down on yourself! Looking forward to all of your success >o<
Incidentally, is there a version we're supposed to get if we want it to be compatible with the upcoming *spice* dlc? >.>
I will try to update this game regularly with any bug reports so I have to get back to you on that, but try to keep the game updated to the latest version. Mechanically I have a plan of how to execute the DLC but I'm still on the fence on how to do it neatly. > <
Cool, can't wait! :D I guess to be safe, I can get the Itch version. I feel like I've heard troubles about NSFW stuff on Steam~
I just saw the final ending, and I really enjoyed it. I'm also looking forward to the next sequel. Will the 18+ CG version of the DLC be added to Steam? Or can I only buy it on itch?
hopefully it will be available on steam, assuming it lets me change the rating but we will see

I think your game can compete with a lot of the titles on the market- it's unique in the way it's not just a reading sim, there is stuff to do in it and it can impact your choices later on. That's something a lot of visual novels struggle with - giving the player a tangible impact on the story.
Anyway, congratulations on reaching you sales milestone!

AYEEEE 10K NICE!!!! Also so sorry to hear about your dad, glad that he survived and is doing well! Also I’m really happy that you decided to finish this game. I don’t see a lot of VN’s with a male and female protagonist with a premise that I find interesting, and man the plot twist was insane. I absolutely love the world and characters you built, especially Ivar cause man that dude deserves everthing good.
Im so happy you made this game! Ive loved meeting the characters and experiencing the story. Your art is so beautiful and really bring them to life. Theyre not only REALLY HOT but their personalities and stories were interesting to get to know. I hope we can reach the DLC goal soon so I can buy it hahaha
Im super glad you pushed through and made this game. Ive loved playing it alot. I kid you not, im at 68 or 70hrs of current gameplay time😅😂😂😂, just from playing it all. Ive done 3 of four romance routes (Thane is my last one🙌) and I restarted once due to my confusion with the guide a bit. But ive def loved the entire game and im super happy that you're gonna work on the 18+ dlc! Thank you! Keep up the good work, and i look forward to playing any other games you put out☺️
Good morning! I am very optimistic about this game reaching the 20k goal, but did you say you'll be making the DLC either way?! :o I'm so excited! I haven't even finished the game yet, but now I'm wondering if I should wait for the 18+ DLC 😅 I'm guessing it will take a while to complete though. Will your next game also be BL? it will take a while to make as unfortunately my hands had taken a toll from the speed run of finishing this haha. So I draw at a leisurely pace now, hence I suggest you finish the game and come back for the dlc later!
Also yes, I do plan to do the 20K dlc either way as I feel I owe it to my patrons, but you know… if I reach the 20K I can afford some help n speed things along, if not then yeah, slow progress but still progress!
